Taryn’s extensive expertise and many years of dedicated experience make it easy for her to meet her patients exactly where they are, whether that be psychologically, emotionally, or relationally. She is skilled at understanding their unique circumstances, while also helping them to develop clear and achievable goals aimed at attaining their desired levels of overall well-being and life satisfaction.
She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Florida State University in the field of Clinical Social Work and successfully completed specialized training in various areas, including trauma recovery, adoptions and foster care, child-parent psychotherapy, and issues relevant to the LGBTQ community. Her extensive clinical preparation further included essential topics such as neuroscience, human development, and child-parent systems. This well-rounded background lends itself effectively to her collaborative approach in working with individuals across all ages, ranging from infancy to older adults, she accommodates all developmental levels.
Taryn’s experience includes her partnership with one of the nation’s largest non-profit organizations, helping develop a state-wide clinical group with locations throughout Florida, and then transitioning into private practice. She is a Qualified Supervisor for Florida Clinical Social Work Interns, helps mentor social work students, and encourages others who desire to become clinical social workers.
Taryn is active in the local community, volunteers, and enjoys attending performing arts events. She’s a huge sports fan and loves watching all types of sporting events with her family, especially weekend trips to Tally to support her Seminoles! Go Noles!
